JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a new team member to join our team as a Mixing Technician in our Batch Mixing department! The Mixing Technician position prepares and combines raw materials in small- medium- and large-scale batches for production processing according to specifications and established procedures. Mixing Technicians obtain materials from inventory and utilize scales or automated equipment to accurately weigh and measure. This position helps to clean and sanitize processing equipment, tanks, filters, pipes, lines, and pumps, and complete all required documentation or logbooks accurately. Additionally, this position follows hazardous material handling and personal protective equipment requirements when applicable.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Accurately follow production order and work instructions to make specific products. Precisely measure and monitor the consumption of ingredients through the use of various meters, scales and other equipment as needed to make specified products. Complete proper documentation (such as production order) correctly and accurately. Clean up and properly store equipment used. Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all safety regulations; strive to always maintain a safe work environment. Continually maintain plant and work environment for cleanliness and organization. Operate forklifts as required (certification course required). Notify a supervisor when an issue arises (i.e.: intermediate or finished good quality, personnel conflicts, equipment issues, etc.) Working with chemicals, both hazardous and non-hazardous. Environmental temperature changes within the production area. Forklift traffic / general production plant hazards. Moving various equipment to complete operation, including mixers, conveyors, tanks, totes, pallets, boxes, and blenders. Lifting to 50 lbs. required. Participation in various projects as needed. KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS
High School Diploma or GED required. Forklift experience is preferred. Light equipment and machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. HOURS: Monday-Thursday 6:00AM - 4:30PM, no weekends.
