The Medical Director collaborates with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided, and participates in various committees to include Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics as requested.QualificationsDocumentation of education as MD or DO and completion of accredited residency program requiredBoard certifiedin Internal, Emergency or Family MedicineCurrent license to practice medicine in Kansas or ability to obtainMust have and maintain an active, non-restricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certificateMust be able to pass background investigation, drug screen and obtain agency security clearance where applicableMinimum of two years' experience as a physician in a clinical setting; supervisory experience preferredExperience in a correctional health setting or institutional setting preferredPosition is 40 hours per week, Monday - FridayAnnual Salary: $291,000/yr.We offer comprehensive benefits for our full-time team members including:Paid malpractice insuranceMonthly benefits stipend OR benefits (including health insurance)Generous paid time offCenturion Health contracts with state and local governments nationwide to provide comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings.
