Job Title – Senior Project Manager – Construction Administration (MEP Focus)
Location – Phoenix, AZ (Remote + Weekly Local Travel)
The Position
Our Client is a highly respected engineering firm specializing in mission-critical environments is seeking a
Senior Project Manager – Construction Administration
with a strong MEP design background. This is a unique opportunity for a technical leader to oversee complex construction efforts on high-profile projects while transitioning from design to hands-on construction management.
The role is remote with regular weekly travel to local project sites in the Phoenix area.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership (50%)
Manage construction administration from design completion through closeout
Lead submittal and RFI reviews with internal design support
Conduct site visits, track deficiencies, and issue field reports
Oversee implementation of redlines, bulletins, and ASIs
Coordinate between trades, design, and construction teams
Represent the firm at client meetings and OAC sessions
Participate in design reviews to improve constructability
Stakeholder Engagement (20%)
Serve as primary client point of contact during construction
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Lead marketing efforts and support business development
Administrative Oversight (20%)
Track meeting minutes, site visit reports, and punch lists
Manage contract administration and documentation
Support department reporting and file management
Financial Management (10%)
Support cost tracking, forecasting, and billing coordination
Identify and address risks, scope gaps, and budget deviations
Candidate Requirements
8+ years of experience in construction or engineering project management
3+ years of field or onsite experience
B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural Engineering or Construction Management
Strong understanding of MEP/FA/FP systems and construction methodologies
Proficient in Procore and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
Familiarity with safety standards and the MOP process
Experience producing documentation and coordinating across remote/hybrid teams
AutoCAD/Revit proficiency a plus
