Position Specific Summary

The position is based out of the Mount Vernon Campus and requires a tech that lives on the campus. It is a tech support position where the student will learn to image/provision computers, repair/fix hardware and software issues. Students will deploy (deliver and set up/install) IT equipment to customer offices around the campus. They would be trained on and expected to support classroom technology. Other tasks related to IT and classroom support would also be assigned as necessary. We will work with students to accommodate their class schedules.

Standard Position Description

The student will provide basic technical and computer support assistance to departments and customers. Tasks may include: assisting customers with basic technical support remotely and in person, ensuring that technology is functional and available for use, assisting with point of sale transactions. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental needs.

Required Qualifications

Entry level position, little to no experience required, all training will be provided.

Preferred Qualifications

Primary coverage hours for this position will be Monday - Friday, 8am-7pm. Preference will be given to students who reside on the Mount Vernon Campus and can work the early and late hours (8am - 10am, 5pm - 7pm)
