With deep-rooted partnerships across the industry and a reputation for delivering complex projects on time and on budget, they're now seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead a high-profile student housing project at Penn State.
Job Description
The Project Manager - Student Housing Projects - PA will be responsible for:
Leading all phases of construction from pre-construction to final closeout Managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful execution Collaborating with architects, engineers, and consultants during planning and design Overseeing subcontractor selection, contract negotiations, and performance tracking Visiting the job site regularly to monitor progress, safety, and quality standards Serving as the main liaison between ownership, internal teams, and external partners Proactively identifying and resolving project challenges, conflicts, and change orders Ensuring compliance with local codes, zoning laws, and university-specific guidelines Creating and delivering project updates, forecasts, and reports to senior leadership Driving team coordination and accountability through consistent communication and meetings Managing key documentation including RFIs, submittals, contracts, and daily logs Anticipating potential risks and developing strategies to stay on track Coordinating with stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely project turnover and occupancy MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
The Project Manager - Student Housing Projects - PA will have:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field 5-10 years of experience overseeing multifamily or student housing construction projects Proven success delivering large-scale, ground-up builds on time and within budget Deep understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and cost control best practices Familiarity with ADA guidelines, student housing requirements, and institutional standards Skilled in tools like Procore, Microsoft Project, or Primavera Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities Confident managing diverse teams and multiple stakeholders in fast-paced environments Knowledge of contracts, permitting, and risk mitigation strategies OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety credentials Open to travel or relocation based on project needs What's on Offer
