Reports to: Superintendent Schedule: Full-time, year round Compensation: Range of $77,000-$91,000 (based on experience, credentials, and level of education) QUALIFICATIONS
A Master's Degree in Educational Leadership; Michigan Administrative Certification. Prior administrative experience and 3 years of teaching experience preferred. Experience or knowledge of Michigan rules and regulations for Special Education and 504 laws. Excellent computer skills and excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be an effective communicator who demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships; possesses leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, staff, parents and community. Understands the complexities and nuances of hiring, evaluating, inspiring and mentoring all staff members to exceed expectations. Knowledge of process for School Improvement Plan and State mandates, including State/Federal laws and regulations regarding students, staff and instructional programs. Knowledge of theory, research methods and best practices in education. Knowledge, skill and character in alignment with district values and strategic plan. Effective Educational Leader with a leadership style that supports open communication, collaboration and trust. Residency in the district is preferred, but not required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Organize and direct evaluation and supervision of all school programs. Visits the classroom frequently to observe the instructional methods, materials, and procedures used by the teacher and to assist teachers in improving instruction. Develops and oversees the Master Teaching Schedule. Analyzes and shares student data and educational research as the foundational principles of Professional Learning Communities. Provide for a safe and positive environment in which learning is of prime importance. Implement the student code of conduct and establish procedures that encourage student behavior consistent with school and district goals. Assume administrative responsibility for all records and reports required. Act as the District's Special Education Liaison Become an active leader in school, community and/or professional activities.
