Job Title: Technical Business Systems Analyst 3

Location: Peoria, IL - 5 days in office

Duration: 12 months but estimated total duration is 3+ years

Position's Contributions to Work Group: In this role, you will work closely with the Program Manager, Scrum master, Technical lead and Software engineers to track and communicate design, development, and support of new features and solutions. You will have to quickly and correctly identify the most complex customer problems which may not be obvious, and you will solve problems by determining the best course of action. You will also be responsible to lead user acceptance test scripts based on defined business requirements and to write training documents with business partners. Education & Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of experience in business processes and systems. Technical Skills

Previous similar experience as business analyst for the development of large and complex IT solution and be familiar with IT Development using Agile methodology and waterfall as well as the various programming languages & databases used at Caterpillar (for example : Java, DB2/SQL, Oracle, AWS, Azure...). Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills being able to explain conclusions to our business partners. Should be able to work with offshore teams and provide leadership. Knowledge of agile methodologies and the agile development lifecycle; ability to utilize formal agile methodologies, disciplines, practices and techniques for the delivery of new and enhanced applications (Desired)

Top candidate will have previous experience as a software engineer (in Java or similar). Experience with assisting business partners & IT teams with off the shelf solution configuration is a plus. (e.g. Salesforce is an example) Soft Skills

Good human relation skills are required to develop a cooperative work relationship with business partners and IT teams. Must have a passion for enabling change Excellent communications & collaboration skills. Typical task breakdown:

Communicate effectively with the Warranty business team to understand their requirements and/or to improve current solutions. Perform and lead business process analyses. Set priorities and establish a work plan with business partners, managers and technical teams to complete broadly defined assignments and achieve desired results. Gather and consolidate feedback from business partners. Coordinates with product development engineers to track and communicate design and development Identify, document, and report design, reliability and maintenance problems and bugs. Answer business partners and managers' questions; provides guidance and support for product integration. Support and train business partners, leaders, and subject matter experts. Ensure that the future solution is achieved in compliance with internal policies and procedures and external laws and regulations (SOx). Lead user acceptance test scripts and write training documents/job aids and work closely with business partners to help them perform UAT. Provide regular status on testing progress and provide feedbacks to the development team. Provide expert advice to IT and business leaders on enterprise business processes. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead technical discussions, and influence decision-making. Adapt to diverse business climates. Participate in multiple projects concurrently as required. Interaction with team:

Early hire to get onboarded for Transformation preparation for next year. Approximately 25-30 team members in totality they will be working with. Work environment:
