Harter Aerospace, an FAA certified repair station, is seeking an experienced Quality Control inspector with aviation experience. Experience in FAA part 145 repair stations preferred. Reporting to the Chief Inspector, the QC Inspector is primarily responsible incoming aircraft parts receiving inspection, reviewing customer work order requirements and final airworthiness return to service inspection and certification. Responsibilities:
Assure all work was properly performed and documented per customer repair order request and FAA / EASA standards. Determine that no defective, unserviceable, or unairworthy parts are installed in any component or article released by the repair station. Accomplish the final acceptance of all incoming material and the airworthiness of articles which subcontractors have performed work on outside the repair station. See that rejected and unserviceable parts are handled in such way as to prevent their reuse as serviceable parts. Perform Visual & Dimensional Inspection of Aircraft Parts
Qualifications:
Education: FAA Mechanic License (Airframe and Powerplant) preferred, or documented experience to qualify for Repairman's Certificate Experience:
Three years aviation maintenance experience or 18 months quality control experience in Aviation. (Dimensional) Utilizing CMM, Hardness Tester, Bearing Analyzer, and Specialized Dimensional Inspection of Fabricated Parts using DIP's (Detailed Inspection Plans and/or Drawings)
Department of Transportation Requirement: Pass Drug and Alcohol screening. US Citizen or resident status
Job Type:
Full-time hourly position. Pay: DOE. Benefits and 401K available. In-person Climate controlled office
