Java Technical Lead

About your role:

At Fiserv, our technology engineering leaders bring an open and creative mindset to developing our clients' solutions. We're looking for engineering leaders who can work collaboratively and have experience in a range of technologies. These leaders define solution architecture plus have the tenacity and attention to detail to work through complex problems. Our environment consists of modern APIs, micro-services, third-party integrations, and cloud infrastructure. You will interact with clients of leading financial institutions, product managers, and software engineers to envision, design, and build innovative products and technology solutions supporting large scale solutions. You will be part of an Agile team involved in designing, developing, testing and deploying APIs and microservices in cloud-native technologies.

What you'll do:

Contribute to the technical design, development, and delivery of robust frameworks

Utilize your hands-on experience in Java, Spring, Hibernate, Microservices, and web services development to develop and support applications through the SDLC

Build caching & logging frameworks and libraries

Develop the CI/CD pipeline, test automation framework, as well as automate build and deployment processes

Collaborate with internal teams and product partners to build and deliver world-class software

Complete security scans, support PII data masking, and review data encryption processes before deploying software into production environment

Install code changes and identify root-cause analysis. Ensure code is well structured, maintainable, and of high quality

Performance optimization

Guide and mentor a team of developers

Experience you'll need to have:

12+ years of experience with advanced Java, Spring tech stack and web services and related microservice technologies

Strong hands-on experience in full life cycle development - design, architecture, coding/development, testing, some production support

Database experience with RDBMS and ability to write complex SQL queries

Strong experience with application security involving AAA (Authentication, Authorization and Auditing) and security patterns like AUTH2.0, JWT/JWS

Experience in full software development life cycle using agile methodologies

Ability to analyze business requirements, crafting functional technical designs, business level documentation and code development. Ability to write high quality code with automated testing

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or relevant work experience

Experience that would be great to have:

Knowledge of payments domain

REDIS, Kafka

Knowledge of and experience with JIRA and Confluence products.

ReactJS or Angular

Prior technical lead role experience.

Docker, Kubernetes

Jenkins, Harness, GitHub

Code profiling

How you'll work:
