This role will execute the editorial strategy across Hearst's automotive brands and serve as the daily support for editors. This role will be key in ensuring our content is optimized to reach its fullest potential. You'll bring strong analytical skills and a project management mindset-juggling multiple initiatives across brands, creating structured workflows, and guiding editorial teams through SEO recommendations that drive measurable results. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and proactive. They will be able to demonstrate adaptability, swift execution, and a curious mindset toward SEO and evolving AI trends.ResponsibilitiesWho You Are: Act as the day-to-day SEO point of contact for Hearst's automotive editorial teams, translating SEO best practices into actionable insightsConduct keyword research, competitive analysis and content audits to inform content planning and prioritizationAnalyze search trends and user behavior to uncover new content opportunitiesProduce detailed content briefs that go beyond keywords; focusing on UX, user intent and content structure.Build and manage editorial content calendars with a focus on evergreen content growthStay up to date on the SEO industry and AI trends, communicating changes to key stakeholdersCreate dashboards and reporting tools to track performance and KPIsConduct SEO training sessions and create documentation for editorial teams to promote ongoing learning and SEO adoptionEnsure SEO best practices are followed in both new content creation and refreshes of existing contentQualificationsWhat You'll Do: A minimum of three years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably in a digital media or publishing environmentStrong knowledge of SEO fundamentals, including on-page, off-page, and technical SEOExtremely knowledgeable using GA4 and GSC with the ability to analyze data and trendsExperience with essential SEO tools, including SEMRush (or other similar research tools), content management systems and data visualization tools (Looker)Ability to define structured workflows, communicate to stakeholders and foster collaboration between teams to ensure timely delivery of workAn understanding of digital revenue streams (advertising, e-commerce and lead generation)Strong project management skills with the ability to define processes and to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAn interest in the evolution of the search landscape and AIStrong communication skills with an ability to present data in an easy-to-understand wayA successful track record of productive collaboration with editorial teamsThe base salary for this role is between $68,000-$80,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
