About this role:

The Controls Application Manager is a critical and high visibility position to oversee the electronics controls and telematics strategy across the Carrier Transicold North America truck-trailer-APU product portfolio. The core activities of the Controls Application Manager are to define and manage the controls lifecycle activities including portfolio planning, passport development engagement, and sustaining activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities for the Controls Application Manager would include involvement and management of projects and processes relating to:

Developing and implementing both short- and long-term product strategy initiatives

Working with the program management team and marketing functions on new product introductions

Interacting with cross functional groups (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and sales) to ensure initiatives meet schedule, cost and quality targets

Engage with industry partners to ensure compatibility and provide necessary VOC to business unit leadership

Benchmarking competitive solutions and providing competitive comparisons

Engaging with marketing resources to develop effective sales and promotional materials

Developing and executing effective customer focused messages and campaigns

Traveling to customer and dealer locations to assist sales organization with high level presentations, or new product introductions

Developing and delivering presentation materials for large audiences

Providing interviews with trade media or representing the company on discussion panels at trade shows

Interacting closely with Carrier's sales force, field service engineers, and dealer network to assist with applications and sales efforts

Required Qualification:

Bachelor's degree

5 + years of experience in a front-line business position (sales, marketing, service, applications, etc.)

Position requires 20% to 25% travel

Preferred Qualifications:

10 + years of technical experience

Candidates must have a proven record of leadership, strategic thinking, and project management with a business mindset, including the ability to grasp complex situations and extract key points and motives and effectively communicate and quickly act on them.

Candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to professionally represent the company in both writing and in oral communications (media relations, presentations, sales training, management presentations, etc.)
