Sentry is seeking a Learning Leader

Claims to join our SentryU team! As a Learning Leader, you will manage the learning portfolio, strategy, and solutions support Claims business unit outcomes.

What You'll Do As a Learning Leader, you will: Create and execute a comprehensive role-based, competency-centric learning strategy and curricula and oversee its execution.

As part of an overarching 70-20-10 strategy, this component will encompass all job levels, home office and field, entry level to senior levels and include technical, business, and professional/management/ leadership competencies.

Via a formal governance process, partners with segment leadership to determine learning needs/gaps and establish business initiatives and resources, priorities, and goals.

Ensure the design, development and delivery of programs and solutions to effectively meet/exceed business goals.

Administer human resource-related activities including timely performance and salary reviews and ensures all subordinates adhere to human resources policies and practices. Select, develop, motivate, and recognize staff.

Implement and monitor appropriate business metrics to ensure learning initiatives are effective and aligned with business strategy. Monitor and control all related expenses, ensuring cost effective methods are utilized and business learning needs are met.

Seek data and new ideas related to industry trends and thought leadership and provides management with benchmarking information on key competitors training strategies and initiatives.

Facilitate Steering Committee meetings to review and manage the segments learning portfolio.

Promote, formulate, coach and mentor SentryU associate cohort groups including, but not limited to, adjunct faculty, coaches, mentors and subject matter experts.

Evaluate and select the appropriate vendors and manages the vendor relationships and budget.

What it Takes Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.

Minimum of 5 years related work experience.

Experience in Claims, the assigned business segment.

Experience linking L&OD initiatives to business outcomes and performance metrics.

Experience leveraging next generation learning modalities, methodologies and technologies to align with modern learner needs and preferences.

Demonstrated consulting skills and experience with influencing leadership.

Increasingly responsible professional learning and development experience, specifically in adult learning and evaluation, preferred.

Demonstrated public speaking and presentation skills.

Demonstrated analytical skills with an ability to translate data into insights with practical recommendations.

Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated planning, project management and organization skills.
