Full-Time / On-site / $128,000-$132,000 / Full Benefits (Listed below) Responsibilities Operate, maintain and manage Windows/Linux based domain supporting a software development environment. Responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the Windows/Linux environment and is responsible for backup and recovery (to include disaster recovery) of system data. Ensure all data is being backed up per COOP and BCP Ensure backup system is functioning correctly and periodically test the backup system by restoring files Respond appropriately to any security or virus incident discovered in the system Install, configure, monitor, manage and maintain all Windows/Linux based servers Create and maintain Windows/Linux system administration processes and procedures Install, configure, manage and maintain all Windows/Linux server based applications Ensure all Windows/Linux based systems have the appropriate patches installed of which includes but is not limited to, security, applications and OS Ensure all Windows/Linux based systems are running current versions of antivirus software with current virus definition files Create, manage and maintain group policy objects, security groups, user accounts Monitor, manage and maintain storage systems and devices Recommend system enhancements, including but not limited to, servers, applications, storage, processes and procedures Recommend when additional system resources are required or when existing resources should be retired Ensure all appropriate asset management functions are completed as required All other tasks as assigned by the IT site lead or IT manager Secondary Responsibilities Assist the help desk respond to end users requests/issues Experience Required Technical skills supporting a Windows environment including server setup, deployment, maintenance, and hardening Must also have a background/knowledge of Linux environment and administration Must have working knowledge of Agile principles and practices Understanding of configuration managed Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) Understanding of what ITs role is in Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) and how it can be applied to PaaS Knowledge with applying containers (Docker) and use of container orchestration (Kubernetes) Technical Skills Required MUST have an ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE Windows and Linux system administration System Security Implementations IBM Server Backup administration Desired Skills: Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) OpenShift OpenStack VMware ESXI QAS/VAS, Windows Active Directory Backup and Recovery Containers and Container Orchestration products Knowledge of Git Nexus Jenkins Jira and Confluence Understand the concept of PaaS and SaaS Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery and how it applies to IT and IT products Education Required Emerging authority typically with an advanced degree and 7+ years experience or bachelors with 9+ years experience or equivalent; Solves complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity; Work is performed without appreciable direction and is reviewed for desired results from a relatively long time perspective; Erroneous decisions would normally result in failure to achieve major organizational objectives; May function in project leadership roles and represents the organization as prime customer contact on significant technical matters on contracts Benefits:
