Responsibilities :
Data Pipeline Development : Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that gather, process, and store large datasets from multiple sources. Data Integration and Warehousing : Develop and manage data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery) for effective data storage, ensuring optimized access for analysts and data scientists. Data Quality and Governance : Implement data quality checks and governance standards to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across the organization. ETL Processes : Design and maintain ETL processes that are efficient, resilient, and adaptable to changing data needs. Database Management : Oversee relational and non-relational databases, optimizing them for performance, scalability, and security. Collaboration : Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements, providing technical expertise to enhance data usability. Performance Optimization : Tune queries and processes to ensure high performance, addressing any bottlenecks in data pipelines and storage. Documentation : Create and maintain clear and concise technical documentation for all data processes and systems. Skills and Qualifications :
Technical Proficiency : Strong skills in SQL, Python, and/or R for data manipulation and analysis. ETL & Data Pipelines : Experience with ETL tools like Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, Talend, or similar. Data Warehousing : Proficiency in data warehousing solutions (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake). Cloud Platforms : Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure), particularly in data-related services. Big Data Technologies : Familiarity with big data processing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus. Database Management : Strong knowledge of both relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra). Data Modeling : Skills in data modeling, database schema design, and experience optimizing data storage. Analytical Mindset : Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency.
