Middleware Systems Analyst

The Middleware Systems Analyst role will provide day-to-day hands-on support for the Middleware Systems portfolio for key systems administration initiatives and ensure the integrity of the distributed platform hosting services for various critical payment applications. Responsibilities will include providing 24x7 service coverage of all Middleware Service Offerings, prepare technical deployment plans and system utilization reports, work with other technical staff to coordinate activities and implementations, follow and document procedures, respond, track, and escalate systems incidents in a timely fashion. Providing a lead by example approach in following change management and configuration management procedures/guidelines, ensuring patch management best practices are adhered, document detailed technical configurations and risk areas to communicate effectively with business owners, and oversee and manage the efficient execution of Level 1/2/3 system administration tasks. Serve as representative for all technical issues/discussion with peer support teams, assess impact potential and coordinate/communicate to clients accordingly. Review and approve system acceptance process; participate and serve as team's technical representative regarding incident events, post-mortems, and problem management; participate in and manage BAU projects such as infrastructure software upgrades, patch management; and perform special projects and initiatives as assigned. Essential Functions And Responsibilities

Perform technical responsibilities regarding all aspects of the Systems Administration environment including administration and maintenance, business continuity, backup and recovery, capacity management, change management, security management, and installation/configuration management in production and non-production environments General understanding of core Middleware technologies including such areas as IBM MQ, Sterling Connect Direct and FTP based solutions, Apache Tomcat, Confluent Kafka, and/or IBM WebSphere Application Server General understanding of Middleware oriented solutions within Cloud based environments, including AWS and Azure Work with other technical staff to coordinate activities and implementations, follow and document procedures, respond, track, and escalate systems incident Follow change management and configuration management procedures and guidelines Oversee and manage BAU projects such as infrastructure upgrades and vulnerability management Provide oversight for technical deployment plans and system utilization reports General understanding regarding core infrastructure components such as high availability/federation/replication Provide assistance and problem support to infrastructure partners, application developers, business analysts and business users while assessing impacts and communicating effectively Ensure synchronicity between application lifecycle environments related to infrastructure components Coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure the continuity of the applications related to upgrades, versions, patches, and new releases Execute the proper risk/issue disciplines to deliver the best outcomes for our customers, clients, and shareholders and to protect our company's reputation Driving consensus and resolving conflicts quickly Thinking broadly about interdependencies Additional Responsibilities Include

Work closely with internal and external partners to guarantee continuous infrastructure availability Suggest and implement continuous improvement, automation efforts across the enterprise Provide technical advice and industry best practices as first contact to stakeholders and clients pertaining to enterprise infrastructure related requests Perform special projects and initiatives as assigned Qualifications Required

1-3 years as an infrastructure subject matter expert in IT/financial services 1-3 years experience with leveraging ITIL Frameworks and practical corporate implementations General understanding in infrastructure product design/implementation/administration at an enterprise scale Ability to travel up to 10% (between NYC, NC and TX) Strong facilitation skills with working committees and steering committees Collaborative team player that connects across groups with proven ability to influence stakeholders Ability to communicate with highly technical/quantitative as well as non-technical partners Qualifications Desired

Master's degree or education/training/certification in an IT related field Certification as an Agile Service or Product Owner Deep understanding in security best practices and respective enterprise tooling in the subject area Proficient with the MS Office Suite with a focused ability to create concise and compelling presentations in PowerPoint in a demanding and quick paced environment Demonstrates commitment to excellence anticipating needs, mitigating risks and minimizing challenges Strong attention to detail Communicates crisply and candidly Proficient in multiple infrastructure disciplines and functions Extensive experience designing and developing enterprise software solutions Experience with agile development methodologies Experience working across large infrastructure environments and distributed across multiple data centers Behavioral & Leadership Competencies:

Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Employees in this position will report to the office 2-3 days per week. Onsite work requirements may change at any time.
