Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Coordinator for the department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
The Research Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of research under the Principal Investigator's direction, including funded National Institutes of Health research projects. The Research Coordinator will develop, implement, and coordinate research and administrative procedures for the successful management of research including a clinical trial, including assisting other research staff.
Among the key duties of this position are the following
As directed, performs various behavioral and social science research and evaluation operations relative to ongoing investigatory activities of the program. Schedules and conducts site visits and maintains communication with participating programs. Collects, organizes and assists in analyses of process, performance, and outcomes data from sites. Prepares data for timely completion of all requirements of grant reporting including correspondence, progress reports, and program evaluations, and other related reports. Assists principal investigator with the preparation of IRB documents, manuscripts and presentations. Organizes, maintains, monitors, and updates website and/or discussion forum content. Coordinates, trains, and oversees research of student assistants.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
Masters' Degree in public health or another social or behavioral science, plus two (2) years of related experience in a health research setting. Or, a Bachelors' Degree in a public health or another social or behavioral science, plus three (3) years of related research experience in a health research setting required; prior research coordination experience is required. Experience building project and data management systems with platforms such as RedCap and Qualtrics. Experience with qualitative data analysis including proficiency in NVivo and Dedoose.
Certifications/Licenses
Use of personal vehicle to travel for business demands; a valid driver's license and clean driving record are required for this position.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Excellent communication skills and computer literacy (advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Excellent writing skills including experience with literature reviews and manuscript and grant preparation. Requires skills and motivation for effective project coordination and maintaining team collaborative relationships. Ability to work independently, be organized, and proactively solve problems. Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills. Good communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion. Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Preferred Qualifications Equipment Utilized Physical Demands And Work Environment
