We use conventional tools, robots, and drones to conduct surveys and perform certifications, and to provide real-time GPS and aerial mapping. We serve real estate developers, and construction, architectural and engineering firms in the public and private sectors.
Atlas Surveying, Inc. is accepting resumes for the position of Information Technology Manager, based in our Bluffton, SC office. This position will be responsible for the IT Management of all 4 Atlas offices.
The IT manager will manage the operation of our company's information technology systems, coordinating IT projects and troubleshooting technical issues. They will oversee the IT infrastructure, manage budgets, and manage the IT staff to meet organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, leadership abilities, and expertise in information systems.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Manage IT infrastructure. Oversee networks, servers, and operating systems to ensure seamless functionality. Advanced Knowledge of various Microsoft Operating Systems and Desktop Applications Working Knowledge of Microsoft-365 and Active Directory Platforms Lead IT projects. Drive implementation efforts while meeting timelines and staying within budgets. Develop IT policies. Create and enforce disaster recovery plans and security protocols. Supervise IT staff. Provide training, leadership, and support to ensure team effectiveness. Troubleshoot issues. Resolve technical challenges to minimize downtime and improve system performance. Collaborate with stakeholders. Identify technology solutions that align with business goals and objectives. Oversee upgrades. Manage system updates, software development, and lifecycle processes. Conduct audits. Perform regular compliance checks to meet information security standards. Optimize IT operations. Streamline processes through automation and efficiency improvements. Vendor Management: Coordinate with software providers, MSPs, and hardware suppliers to manage licensing, procurement, and system lifecycle.
Qualifications And Key Skills
Educational background. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience. Strong background in managing IT teams and implementing projects. Project management. Expertise in decision-making and coordinating complex initiatives. Communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Technical knowledge. Familiarity with IT infrastructure, networks, operating systems, and cloud solutions. Problem-solving skills. Address technical challenges and manage system updates effectively. Relevant certifications. ITIL, CompTIA Security+, or PMP credentials are a plus. Cybersecurity expertise. Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and security best practices.
