Associate Dean for Nurse Education/Program Administrator

We are seeking an Associate Dean for Nurse Education/Program Administrator. This administrator, under the supervision of the Senior Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, is responsible for Nurse Education at the College at both the PCCC Passaic Academic Center and Sussex Community College campuses.
Example of Duties:
Collaborate with the faculty to develop, implement and evaluate the program of learning of the Nurse Education program using current educational trends and recommendations of the State licensing and accrediting agencies. Provide leadership for faculty and staff. Develop and implement new programs in health sciences that service the community. Promote understanding and cooperation with the community health service agencies to secure the appropriate education opportunities for students. Maintain a comprehensive record system. Assist faculty to maintain program licensure and accreditation. Maintain up-to-date professional competency by participating in continuing education, professional conferences research and writing. Maintain relationships with college and health care facilities. Collaborate with faculty to annually review clinical agencies used for student clinical experiences. Recommend candidates for faculty appointment, reappointment, promotion and award of tenure to the Senior Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs. Develop and maintain relationships outside the college with appropriate local, state, regional and national agencies and other programs. Develop and maintain relationships with local, state, regional and national agencies. Collaborate with faculty to ensure laboratories on both the Passaic and Sussex campuses have state of the art equipment. Submit an annual report to the Senior Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs on July 1 of each year. Prepare and administer the budget. Travel between PCCC campuses, partners and affiliated locations as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs. Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Nursing required; Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field preferred. Minimum of three (3) years full-time experience working in an accredited or approved academic nursing program required. Administrative experience in Associate degree program preferred. At least 12 credits in education from an accredited college or university approved by the State of New Jersey Secretary of Higher Education or equivalent agency from another state with requirement substantially similar to the requirements of the State of New Jersey Secretary of Higher Education required. Current nursing license for the State of New Jersey required. Strong management, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with students, faculty, and administrators, and to understand student learning patterns, challenges, and needs. The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation:
Salary is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The starting salary for this position is $120,000.
