A Snowflake Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based data warehousing solutions using the Snowflake platform. This role is pivotal in translating complex business requirements into scalable, high-performance, and secure data architectures that support analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making
Your role
Design and implement end-to-end data warehouse solutions leveraging the Snowflake platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and security
Translate business and technical requirements into efficient, secure, and maintainable data models and architectures
Lead the migration of data from legacy systems to Snowflake, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption
Develop and enforce best practices and standards for data warehousing, data modeling, and Snowflake usage
Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders-to deliver robust data solutions
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Snowflake environments for performance, storage efficiency, and cost management
Integrate Snowflake with other cloud services, ETL/ELT tools, and BI platforms to create seamless data workflow
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to junior team members and other stakeholder
Ensure compliance with data governance, security policies, and regulatory requirement
Stay current with Snowflake updates, emerging features, and industry trends to continuously enhance solution
Your skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
5 years of experience in data warehousing, data architecture, or analytics solution
3 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including architecture, implementation, and optimization
Strong expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and SQL development
Proven ability to design scalable, secure, and high-performance data architecture
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Familiarity with data integration tools (e.g., Informatica, DBT, MuleSoft) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)7.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills3.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences
