RFP Background USACE OCIO/G-6 has a need for Enterprise Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) services. The USACE OCIO/G-6 requires contractor support in the areas of cyber security, data center operations, Automated Information Systems (AIS), Information Technology (IT) network environment operations including hardware and software support, end user device support, digital and analog telephone systems, web services, data/knowledge management, native and cloud-based services, hard wired and wireless devices, and all supporting infrastructure, platforms and applications. Emergency response services are also required to respond and restore services in the event of a disaster. As the IM/IT provider to the USACE enterprise, the OCIO/G-6 mission objectives require 24 hours a day/seven days a week (24/7) operations, monitoring, and response.
Job Title: Unified Communications Engineer
DoD Secret Clearnace required Remote position
Job Description: Responsible for providing administrative, operational, and management support for the CASTLE-NET unified communications infrastructure, including enterprise-level voice and video conferencing systems. This role involves leading a team to support current infrastructure systems, platforms, tools, and components. Key responsibilities include assisting customers with virtual instruction on communication systems, installing and configuring handsets and video endpoints, maintaining documentation and records, and ensuring all infrastructure components conform to standardized setups and provide redundancy.
Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others.
Required Skills: Requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field, and 8 years of experience in unified communications, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Possesses excellent knowledge of UC technologies (e.g., VoIP, SIP, Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx) and extensive experience with installing and configuring telephony and video endpoints. Must be highly proficient with network protocols and security best practices, possess excellent skills in problem-solving, analytics, leadership, communications and customer service, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP Collaboration, Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator) and familiarity with the USACE IT environment, policies, and regulatory requirements are preferred.
