What is the job?
Full Time Job Delivering packages for FedEx You will be doing about about 100 to 200 stops daily (5 days max - optional 6th ad 7th day work available) All deliveries, maybe 1 to 5 pickups Service area: University of Washington Area (FedEx terminal is in Auburn, WA where you will START and STOP) The PAY
Training rate of $750 per week (training is until you are able to service the route yourself Full time pay higher of $1100 per week or $1.40 per stop (This is GROSS pay not NET - meaning this is before taxes NOT after taxes). You have the option of doing anywhere from 100 to 200 plus stops. The GOOD:
Highly condensed area All stops are GPS mapped Potential to earn up to $1500 to $1700 depending on number of stops services ($1.40 per stop) You will work anywhere from 7 to 9 hours per day, 5 days per week. Brand new delivery truck Work and hours are consistent - FedEx is not going anywhere. The BAD:
You will fight traffic from Auburn, WA terminal to the University of Washington Area and fight traffic again back to the Auburn, WA FedEx terminal. It is a physically demanding job REQUIREMENTS
Be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record. Pass a drug test (includes marijuana) with continued random drug screens throughout employment Pass a DOT physical Be able to safely lift/carry up to 75 lbs. and up to 150 lbs. with hand truck Pass FedEx Ground criminal background check Have reliable transportation to and from work - Be on time and ready to work each workday Be able to climb stairs Be able to work in all types of weather Have a strong work ethic and get it done attitude If you are looking for short-term work, please do not apply. It will take at least 2-4 weeks for you to learn the route during which point you will only be paid the training rate of $750 per week
Work-related driving experience and a strong work ethic to make local residential and business deliveries.(CDL License Not required) If you have been a Local Driver, Route Driver, Truck Driver, Courier, Pick Up Driver, Delivery driver - and if you have driven for UPS, Amazon, previous FedEx companies, DHL, Wal-Mart, Uber, Lyft or any other similar companies - that is a plus! We have a job waiting for you as we are hiring urgently and immediately.
Daily Duties include but not limited to:
Your vehicle must be operated safely at all times Delivery and pick up of packages to businesses and residences. Routes vary in number of pick-ups and deliveries, but expectations are a driver will routinely perform up to 150 stops a day Perform daily inspection of vehicle including checking fluid levels Loading vehicle for deliveries and organizing daily loads Work independently and as part of a team Provide exceptional customer service and maintain appropriate communication with manager Accurately operate scanner/effectively track delivery process Accurate disposition of package delivery and pickups is a must and critical to our integrity. Consistently deliver entire route in a timely manner Benefits:
