Position summary:

Responsible for providing facility supply chain leadership which includes production scheduling, capacity planning, materials requirement planning (MRP), inventory management, and customer service. Also responsible for maximizing capacity, product availability and customer service while optimizing raw, WIP, and finished goods inventories. Ensures Inventory and MRP settings are maintained with systems data integrity. Manages performance and development plans of department personnel.

Essential Functions: Manages the customer service and direct day to day supply chain planning and materials management communications at the facility. Accountable for the facility capacity planning; schedules production pursuant to customer forecast demands and maintains customer target compliance. Accountable for the administration of the inventory cycle count program and reporting inventory cycle count results for the 13-week geographic method and HTL audit reporting and meeting company set targets. Accountable for receiving customer shipment orders and processing on time delivery specified to designated locations and freight carriers. Assigns new accounts and purchasing to Supply Chain Specialists. Responsible for managing performance of personnel including approval and reporting of absences and vacation days for department personnel. Maintains and executes procedures (SOP's) and policies for department inventory turns, days of supply, inactive inventory disposition, scheduling guidelines and space capacity based on company set KPI targets. Works with the operations team to maintains space capacity to 90% or lower for the facility to reduce capacity constraints. Monitors production and shipment attainment reports for the location on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to meet service targets. Accountable to report attainment to management and customers as required. Responsible for service, inventory and planning key performance metrics internally and externally. Ensures the department is appropriately staffed and operates to best practices and that inventories, production schedules, materials management and customer service are effectively managed and controlled. Supports strategies to ensure department's critical response to customer needs. Heavy involvement in set up and startup of new projects for successful execution. Identifies opportunities for improvement for all critical functions of the department. Audits Operational Billing monthly to ensure all billable costs are recovered within the appropriate timeframe and maintains a reconciliation monthly. Ensures that all credit and debit memos are sent to the Accounting Department on a timely basis for cost recovery that are triggered by supply chain. Monitors excess, obsolete, and aged materials and manages disposition with customers and suppliers. Ensures the department is managing the following efficiently for all accounts: Customer communications and reporting Purchases materials or pulls in customer supplied materials through MRP Sets up part numbers, bill of materials, assembly routing instructions, engineering standards, date code formats and aging requirements Investigates and resolves inventory availability and distribution related issues Prepares invoices and operational billing Coordinates outbound shipments Assists Cost Accounting by providing standard costs and communicates cost changes Ensures the meeting and reporting are in place: scheduling, 13-week capacity review, quarterly run rules and rate updates, aging and hold inventory review and actions, LRP RCCP monthly or bi-monthly review, and monthly inventory KPIs. Work Environment & Physical Demands

In general, office environment is pleasant. May need to access other personnel or locations in expansive multi-level production operation which may be very cold or ambient temperature. Expected to go out to production floor as needed and for the DDS meetings. Education, Experience & Required Skills

Bachelor's degree plus 5 or more years progressive development in a production operation supply chain capacity. 5 or more years of salaried leadership experience and 1 or more years of experience in a manager level position. Experience with complex problem solving and scheduling in a manufacturing environment. Possess a "can do" attitude and willingness to dive in and find solutions.
