Job Responsibilities We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Logistics and Trade Compliance Manager to join our dynamic team. This critical role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our global logistics operations and ensuring strict adherence to international trade regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of supply chain management, customs compliance, and freight forwarding, with a proven track record of optimizing processes and mitigating risks.

Core Responsibilities:

Develop and implement global logistics strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery times. Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met. Oversee all aspects of international shipping, including export/import documentation, customs declarations, and tariff classifications. Ensure full compliance with all relevant domestic and international trade regulations, including ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and other applicable laws. Conduct regular audits of logistics and trade compliance processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to company policies. Develop and deliver training programs to internal teams on trade compliance regulations and best practices. Stay informed of changes in global trade laws and regulations, assessing their impact on company operations and implementing necessary adjustments. Manage and resolve any customs-related issues, delays, or penalties. Implement and maintain robust record-keeping systems for all logistics and trade compliance activities. Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, engineering, finance, and legal teams to ensure seamless integration of logistics and trade compliance into business operations. Qualifications Strong problem-solving skills, quick learning, and excitement for a collaborative startup environment are the most important traits we're looking for. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, or trade compliance Extensive knowledge of international trade regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR, customs regulations, free trade agreements). Proven experience managing global freight forwarding and customs brokerage relationships. Strong understanding of Incoterms and their application in international trade. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in logistics and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Experience in Transportation Management Systems like E2Open a plus
