Job Description We are seeking a
Senior Data Scientist
to join a cross-functional team at the forefront of AI innovation in healthcare. This is a fully remote contract position supporting
the client,
offering a unique opportunity to apply data science expertise in the domains of healthcare, AI ethics, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate across legal, compliance, and AI development teams on topics including Generative AI and traditional ML. Document findings, generate reports, and communicate results clearly to stakeholders. Design and develop guidance materials for responsible and ethical use of AI technologies. Write and maintain Python scripts for automating AI testing and analyzing outputs. Identify and analyze vulnerabilities in AI systems related to PII/PHI exposure. Manage test datasets and contribute to the evolution of testing methodologies. Stay updated on AI/ML research trends and apply relevant insights to ongoing projects. Mentor junior staff and promote a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Assist in designing and conducting Red Team testing scenarios for conversational AI applications.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience in computer science, applied mathematics, applied statistics, or related fields. 3+ years of hands-on experience with the ML lifecycle (development, deployment, and maintenance). 3+ years working with advanced NLP models and methodologies. Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as Scikit-learn, Pandas, and Numpy. Strong understanding of ethical AI principles and model fairness. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with healthcare systems, including claims processing, call centers, or claims-based research. Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions. Demonstrated collaboration across product, data science, and business teams. Hands-on experience with large language models and conversational AI. Knowledge of prompt engineering and adversarial testing practices. Awareness of regulatory compliance frameworks specific to AI in healthcare. Basic understanding of information security and privacy principles.
