Configuration Manager

to join our team onsite in

Norfolk, Virginia.

This position is onsite.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Defining and documenting the baseline configurations of systems and software

Overseeing the process of requesting, evaluating, approving, implementing, and documenting changes to configurations

Ensuring that all changes are tracked and managed, minimizing the risk of errors or inconsistencies

Conducting regular audits to verify compliance with established standards and identify potential issues

Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of configurations, changes, and related processes

Working with various teams (e.g., development, operations, security) to ensure seamless configuration management across the organization

Utilizing and maintaining configuration management tools

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 years of experience or equivalent education and years of experience in lieu of degree

Strong understanding of configuration management processes and tools, and experience with tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)

Knowledge of system administration, software deployment, and change management

Ability to collaborate effectively and familiarity with ITIL or other service management frameworks

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications in configuration management or ITIL

Experience with cloud infrastructure configurations, knowledge of version control systems and deployment automation

Experience managing configurations for enterprise applications, and familiarity with regulatory compliance

Clearance Requirements:

Active Secret Security Clearance

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
