Carton Folder Gluer Operator
Location: Maplewood, MO
Our valued client, located in Maplewood, MO, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carton Folder Gluer Operator to join their production team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining folder gluer machines that convert printed and cut carton blanks into precision-folded and glued packaging products. The ideal candidate demonstrates mechanical aptitude, a commitment to quality, and dedication to maintaining high production standards.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate a variety of folder gluer machines (such as Bobst, Signature, or Moll) according to specific job specifications.
Conduct and document quality checks throughout production runs to ensure finished cartons meet all client and internal quality standards.
Monitor machine operation to quickly detect malfunctions or product defects and make on-the-spot adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of folder gluer equipment to sustain peak performance and minimize unplanned downtime.
Accurately record production data, downtime events, and operational details as required by company procedures.
Collaborate with fellow team members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to achieve daily production goals and meet deadlines.
Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.
Qualifications Proven experience operating, setting up, or maintaining folder gluer or similar packaging machinery is preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Ability to read and interpret job specifications and quality standards.
Capable of standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. during the shift.
Willingness to work in a non-climate controlled environment; the facility conditions reflect outside temperatures (i.e., hot in summer, cold in winter).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment Manufacturing floor with exposure to moderate-to-high noise levels; hearing protection provided as required.
Fast-paced team environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Non-climate controlled setting; temperatures in the facility vary with the seasons.
