Database Administrator

with a client in
Sunnyvale, CA/Cupertino, CA/ Austin, TX.
The candidate will manage and support Oracle databases in both production and development environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
Rate Range:
$53/hour to 56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Database Administrator job responsibilities include:
Administer and maintain Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c) in both production and development environments, ensuring high availability and performance. Configure and troubleshoot Oracle GoldenGate bidirectional replication, including deep-dive diagnostics and performance tuning. Perform database patching, upgrades, and OS-level maintenance on Linux and AIX systems. Manage backup and recovery operations using RMAN and ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness. Implement and maintain security protocols, including SSL certificate renewals and AWS IAM/KMS integration. Monitor database performance and health using tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), and participate in 24/7 support rotations. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 5-7 years of experience as an Oracle DBA in production and development environments. Expertise in Oracle GoldenGate bidirectional setup and troubleshooting, including experience with Oracle 12c and 19c. Pay Details:
$53.00 to $56.00 per hour
