Summary:
Meta is seeking to fill a full-time position of Data Analyst for Accounting Operations, Process, and Systems. As a key member of the Controllership Operations, Platform, and Analytics Team, you will be responsible for supporting the team's efforts to unlock a growing volume of data, tell accurate and meaningful stories, and simplify processes through scalable business intelligence solutions as well as analytical outputs while supporting compliance efforts. You will be a part of the Accounting team, aligning efforts with a broad cross functional team across Finance, Accounting, Tax, and with business partners across the company. You will work in an ever-changing environment, with proven problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills, while leveraging technical and leadership skills to own projects from planning through delivery.
Required Skills:
Data Analyst - Accounting Operations, Process, and Systems Responsibilities:
Leverage technical skills to deliver impactful solutions across a wide variety of complex analytical and business intelligence problems
Employ tools, such as SQL, Tableau, Thoughtspot, and other internal/external data modeling, ETL, and analysis tools, while showing a propensity to build new skills
Support high priority analysis related to accounting deliverables in order to enable decision making, support operations, and provide insight
Continue to build functional knowledge of Accounting at Meta while leveraging a growing number of technical tools into your deliverables
Work towards becoming a subject matter expert of the accounting systems landscape, the data it provides, processes it supports, and the known gaps throughout
Establish ownership of your projects from inception through delivery
Communicate with key stakeholders throughout the planning, execution, and delivery of each project
Document and maintain deliverables over time to ensure scalability as the business continues to grow
Work with enterprise engineering partners to fill data gaps and address data discrepancies, while occasionally stepping in to address those deficiencies when necessary
Communicate technical solutions with a wide array of audiences at multiple levels, while providing mentorship and technical development of team members when necessary
Be the subject matter expert on the data used to build your solutions and enable your deliverables
Coordinate and support special projects as needed
Demonstrate an ability to improvise and adapt quickly, while ruthlessly prioritizing
Mentor team members on analytical tools and techniques to enable a more data driven organization
Minimum Qualifications:

BA/BS in a field that emphasizes analyzing, displaying, or reporting on data (e.g., computer science, math, engineering, economics, statistics), or equivalent work experience
5+ years experience in a quantitative analytics role
5+ years experience in collecting and organizing complex data
Experience analyzing and documenting business processes
Experience initiating and driving projects to completion
Experience reporting on data / analysis, communicating the results of analysis
Great teamwork and collaboration skills
Proven attention to detail and organization skills
Ability to drive change and improve the end-to-end process
Demonstrated experience with analysis and problem solving
Proven ability to troubleshoot problems and develop solutions
Ability to work both in a team environment and on your own as required
Public Compensation:
$124,000/year to $176,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
