Title: Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: Fulltime Role
Responsibilities: Design and development of high-performance analog integrated circuits, including amplifiers, data converters, voltage regulators, and other analog signal processing circuits. Conduct detailed design simulations, verification, and validation to ensure circuit performance meets specifications and quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including digital designers, layout engineers, and system architects, to ensure seamless integration of analog and digital components. Drive innovation by researching and implementing advanced design techniques, methodologies, and emerging technologies. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Participate in design reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to the improvement of design processes and standards. Support the testing, characterization, and debugging of analog ICs, working closely with the test engineering team to optimize performance and yield. Document design specifications, methodologies, and test results, ensuring comprehensive and accurate technical documentation. Requirements:
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on CMOS analog/mixed-signal integrated circuit design 10+ years of experience in analog or mixed-signal IC development in advanced CMOS processes (PhD experience may be considered as experience), successful tape-out experience with leading foundries Strong knowledge in analog/mixed signal circuits such as OpAmps, bandgap, voltage/current references Familiar with common EDA environment tools, CAD tools and Analog design methodology including design, simulation, layout, and verification tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor Graphics etc.) In-depth knowledge of analog mixed-signal concepts like mismatch mitigation, linearity, stability, low-power and low-noise techniques Hands-on experience with analog mixed-signal IC development from definition to high-volume production including layout supervision and bench characterization Strong experience in system level analog/mixed-signal design Well experienced in FinFet nodes Ability to create innovative architecture and circuit solutions to meet customer requirements Ability to work in a startup environment and to work both independently and as a team player Experience in one or more of the following areas considered a strong plus:
Hands-on experience in data converter (Client/DAC) design and techniques Hands-on experience in memory design or in-memory computing circuit design Hands-on experience in AMS design and verification methodology
