Principal Oracle Security Engineer - Remote
Fully remote - must work 9am - 6pm ET Monday - Friday, always on camera and available for all meetings
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Owns and implements robust security strategies for Oracle Fusion applications, to define access controls, role hierarchies, and data security policies based on business requirements. Develops, manages and maintains user accounts, ensuring strategic assignment of roles and permissions to enforce precise and scalable data access control. Leads the design and strategic management, defining and aligning duty roles, job roles, and data access policies with segregation of duties principles to ensure scalable, compliant, and robust security governance. Drives comprehensive security audits, reporting capabilities to proactively identify vulnerabilities and mitigate potential security risks within the Oracle Fusion environment, ensuring continuous improvement in security posture. Investigates and responds to security incidents related to user access or suspicious activity, monitoring tools to ensure swift detection, response, and remediation of potential threats. Ensures adherence to industry regulations and internal security policies to enforce data protection and access controls. Drives security audits and generates detailed reports to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and uncover opportunities for continuous improvement in the organization's security framework. Leads the development and delivery of advanced training programs for end-users and IT teams, focusing on security best practices and optimizing the use of the Oracle Fusion Security Console. Creates comprehensive technical documentation, best practices, solution blueprints, and use case collateral to drive customer enablement, adoption, and long-term success with security solutions. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/ Skills required:
Extensive knowledge of the Oracle Fusion Security Console, Including Role-Based access control, data security Policies, security reporting capabilities and
Oracle Risk Management Module. Extensive understanding of Security policies such as authentication, authorization, confidentiality, integrity and availability Familiar with Security standards (e.g., HIPPAA
Experience in designing, implementing or assessing Oracle Fusion Cloud Security and SOD controls. Experience in large-scale migrations and, support, and upgrade projects in HCM, Finance, and PPM modules. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Able to develop presentations/communications that achieve maximum impact and influence. Ability to navigate at all levels in the organization and interact effectively and confidently with audiences of varying skill sets and authority. Ability to manage issue resolution - including the identification of issues, developing a resolution plan, and executing the changes needed. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies. Experience of understanding and implementation of segregation of duty frameworks and associated migration controls and SOD tools Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field required. 10+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing security and controls for Oracle HCM, Oracle ERP applications required.
