Per Diem-Primary Counselor

Primary Counselors assist residents in the special treatment program by providing program implementations through documentation, supervision, and
training in social, cognitive, and other skills necessary for maximum independence and functioning. Primary Counselors conduct assessments, develop care plans, and work with residents individually and in groups to ensure they gain the skills and stability needed to progress to lower-level settings in the community. As a member of the care team, Counselors also supervise residents in the milieu and provide crisis intervention, up to an including physical restraint, when needed.
Hourly rate is $21.00-$22.00 depending on experience.
Primary Counselor positions require one of the following:
Two years' direct care work experience in an inpatient or outpatient behavioral setting; or Two years of college-level coursework including behavioral health; or A combination of relevant experience and education totaling two years.
