Location:

Hybrid-2days/week onsite (Washington, DC metro area)

Compensation:

$135K+ depending on experience

We're seeking a Senior Analyst, Cloud Security, to lead critical initiatives across cloud infrastructure, applications, and compliance efforts. This hands-on role will partner closely with IT and cybersecurity leadership to assess cloud configurations, identify risks, improve detection and response workflows, and automate threat mitigation where possible. The analyst will take on key projects tied to audit remediation, compliance, and internal risk posture, all while helping build out a modern, secure cloud environment. This role includes responsibilities across AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, and various SaaS platforms, with an emphasis on identity management, event investigation, and tuning alert logic to reduce noise and increase actionability.

Qualifications: 5+ years of cybersecurity experience, with a strong focus on cloud environments Hands-on expertise with AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, and SaaS platforms Proficient in incident response, log analysis, and use of SIEM and cloud-native security tools Deep understanding of identity and access management (IAM) in cloud environments Familiarity with threat hunting, attacker TTPs, and tuning detection thresholds Experience with ISO 27001, CIS Controls, SOC 2; familiarity with NIST is helpful Strong verbal/written communication and documentation skills Bachelor's or Master's in Cybersecurity or a related field (or equivalent experience) Preferred certifications: CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate

This is a direct hire role with no flexibility for contract or C2C arrangements. U.S. citizenship is required. Candidates must be comfortable working in a politically active, nonpartisan environment and able to be on-site two days per week in the DC area.
