In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our engineering projects through rigorous testing and quality control processes.Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies and methodologiesDesign, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex software systemsConduct thorough manual and automated testing to identify and document software defectsFamiliar with Amtrak, FRA, and state/local requirements for safety, environmental compliance, labor standards, and construction documentationSkilled in preparing compliance logs, monthly reports, non-conformance reports, and audit documentationAbility to interface with PMIS (Project Management Information Systems) like e-Builder, Primavera Unifier, or ProcoreCoordinates between design, construction, and compliance teamsInterfaces with Amtrak compliance officers, contractors, and third-party reviewers.Familiar with field inspection processes, submittal review, RFIs, and change order documentation from a compliance standpointProficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and database/reporting toolsAbility to interpret engineering drawings and specificationsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related fieldProfessional Engineer (P.E.) certification5+ years of experience in quality assurance engineeringStrong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and best practices7+ years of experience in infrastructure or heavy civil engineering, with 3+ years focused on compliance, reporting, or QA/QCPrevious experience with rail/transit projects, particularly for Amtrak, FRA, or FTA, is highly desirable.Familiarity with tunnel construction methods (e.g., cut-and-cover, TBM, NATM)Experience with federal procurement and reporting requirements, including Davis-Bacon compliance, Buy America, and NEPAPreferred Qualifications:Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or equivalentOSHA 30-hour Construction Safety CertificationExperience with Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) tracking and reportingKnowledge of FTA Circulars or FRA guidelines if federal funding is involvedAdditional InformationSalary: Salary range is dependent on scope of work, location of project, as well as level of experience.
