AWS Database Migration Engineer

for a full-time position in Camden, NJ. This onsite hybrid role at Camden requires local candidates or those open to relocation. Your role

Strong experience with schema/data migration tools like ora2pg, AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT), and AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)

Hands-on experience with AWS services such as RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, EC2, Lambda, and IAM etc.

Perform detailed analysis of Oracle-specific features (e.g., PL/SQL, packages, sequences, triggers) and convert to equivalent PostgreSQL constructs

Optimize PostgreSQL performance via indexing, partitioning, vacuuming, and query tuning

Ensure high availability, backup strategies, and security compliance in the AWS environment (e.g., using RDS for PostgreSQL or Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL)

Experience with database administration and operations support for managed database services (Preferred PostgreSQL)

Proficient with schemas design, data modeling, normalization/denormalization etc.

Experience with NoSQL transformation (preferably DynamoDB)

Knowledge of writing/refactoring SQL, PL/SQL, PL/pgSQL

Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control (Git), and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)

Your skills and experience
