Candidates with experience as Scrum Masters. While this role isn't Scrum Master, those candidates have typically interacted directly with delivery teams and understand concepts around agile delivery methodology. Candidates with evidence of technical knowledge (previous developer/engineer or tester, infra experience, etc.) - We don't expect them to program in this position, but people that have some form of technical background tend to be more successful in the TPM role. It is difficult to close gap on technical knowledge vs. project management. Experience working with engineering teams
Dislikes:
Non-local candidates or anyone looking for remote work. This TPM role requires direct engagement with delivery teams. Candidates that do not have experience working directly with delivery teams - finding in interviews some of the candidates managed projects where contact was more from vendors, or they were engaged at a much higher management level. Candidates without some evidence of experience with project management. Would you please confirm the duration of this assignment? 2 years
What are your top 3 required technical skills?
bility to put together high-level timelines & end-to-end delivery plans using MS Project or comparable project management tool. Familiarity with APIs, reading/understanding architecture documents and other diagrams (component diagrams, sequence diagrams, data flows, etc.) bility to perform data analysis and derive meaningful, data-driven reports for communicating project statuses.
What are a couple of desired/nice to have skills?
Previous experience as a developer/programmer or in some other technical discipline (infra, IT, QE, etc.) Scrum Master or RTE experience / experience working within agile methodology Previous experience in financial or payments field
What soft skills would you like to see in a candidate?
Problem solving aptitude & ability to work with ambiguity and under limited guidance Clear, concise communication skills bility to build relationships & influence without authority
What level of competency is required? [Please use: Foundational, Intermediate, or Advanced] dvanced - TPM role, even at L7/Sr. TPM level has responsibility of leading delivery of software solutions with little guidance.
