We're looking for a motivated and technically skilled
Monitoring & Controls Engineer
to join our growing team. In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront of optimizing production operations, leading automation initiatives, and implementing innovative monitoring and control technologies-including
PLC programming, SCADA systems, and cloud-based IoT solutions
.
You'll work cross-functionally to manage resources, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and production quality.
Controls Engineering & Operations
Support daily operations within the Controls Engineering department
Design and implement automation strategies to increase efficiency and uptime
Program and maintain
PLC, SCADA
, and
HMI
systems to support automated production processes
Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization
Provide
training and mentorship
to technicians and junior engineers
Collaborate with production, maintenance, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and performance
Project Management
Plan, execute, and manage projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and goals are met
Coordinate resources and tasks across departments
Provide clear updates to stakeholders and proactively address potential project risks
Track outcomes, assess success, and incorporate lessons learned into future projects
Safety & Compliance
Develop and implement safety protocols aligned with industry standards
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure regulatory compliance
Investigate safety incidents and implement corrective measures
Keep up to date with evolving safety regulations and automation standards
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics, or related field)
1-4 years of hands-on experience
in industrial automation or control systems
Proficiency in
PLC programming
(Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent) and
SCADA systems
Experience with
cloud-based monitoring tools
and
IoT integration
Skilled in data analysis, reporting tools, and simulation software
Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills
Proven ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions
Roughly 40 - 75% travel required
