The National Security Sector at Leidos is excited to announce an opening for a
Junior Exploitation and Data Management Specialist
to support our customer in St. Louis, MO. Job Summary As a Junior Exploitation Specialist, you will play a vital role in cataloging, collecting, and managing a diverse collection of geospatial and textual materials, including maps, intelligence documents, and digital datasets. Your contributions will help ensure that our library collection is well-maintained and fully accessible for discovery. Primary Responsibilities Digitize and preserve hard copy records and materials.
Perform collection maintenance tasks, including filing, barcode management, and distribution.
Assist in collection development by recommending new materials for acquisition based on customer requests.
Implement declassification guidelines where necessary.
Provide research support for ad hoc projects using various databases and special source libraries.
Help create and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and graphic documents.
Assist in analyzing and improving website usage and procedures.
Populate and update the Library Systems database and collections.
Support the Library of Congress with map and chart archiving activities as needed.
Adhere to established cataloging guidelines.
Maintain and evaluate databases and library content, including updates and corrections.
Conduct metadata reviews and verify data integrity.
Provide Quality Assessment and Management services as required.
Engage with partner organizations and collaborate with technical leads and project managers.
Basic Qualifications High school diploma with 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Active TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to be approved for a TS/SCI CI Poly.
Experience with virus-scanning software and procedures.
Knowledge of library clerical procedures and practices.
Familiarity with library cataloging standards.
1-3 years of demonstrated experience in maintaining and developing databases.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or a related field.
Working knowledge of clerical practices.
TS/SCI CI Poly clearance is a plus.
Adaptability to changing priorities from supervisors and customers.
Strong skills in planning, prioritizing, and managing tasks effectively.
Experience with scientific collections is beneficial.
Understanding of library sciences, including MARC 21, AACR2R, and RDA standards.
