Job Description: As an Application Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing project execution, aligning team performance with strategic goals, managing cross-functional work streams, and ensuring optimal resource utilization. This role requires active coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders to maintain project alignment, adherence to security standards, and timely delivery. A solid technical foundation, strong leadership capabilities, and experience managing complex IT projects in secure environments are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate collaboration and communication across cross-functional teams and work streams Develop and manage detailed project plans including goals, milestones, and deadlines Monitor and balance resource allocation and team bandwidth Track performance metrics and provide actionable feedback and improvement recommendations Oversee task progression and evaluate project outcomes to identify lessons learned Identify, communicate, and mitigate project and cybersecurity risks Ensure compliance with state and federal security policies and standards Collaborate with enterprise security teams to validate and implement secure application architectures Guide secure development practices and CI/CD pipeline integration with security tooling Support the configuration and secure use of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Manage vendor relationships, ensuring deliverables align with scope, timelines, and security compliance Enforce vendor adherence to state-mandated cybersecurity standards and contractual terms Promote process improvements and best practices across project and security workflows

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

Minimum of 10 years' experience in application management and IT project oversight Proven leadership in managing multiple work streams and coordinating cross-functional teams Deep understanding of cloud and infrastructure security principles and secure SDLC practices Experience with secure CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible Familiarity with security tools, vulnerability management, and regulatory compliance (NIST, HIPAA, CJIS) Strong background in vendor management, including performance and contract oversight Proficient in using project management methodologies and tools to track progress and allocate resources Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to proactively address risks and resolve issues with minimal supervision Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
