Scope of Work The Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining all Oracle Unix/Linux infrastructure systems. Day to day work includes interactions with Oracle DBA and WebLogic Systems Administrators to ensure that systems are up and running smoothly.

The candidate specific duties will include: Plan, design, install, configure, secure, maintain, and support all Linux infrastructure systems i.e. servers and storage Analyze, monitor the resource utilization, and tune the performance of the operating system and associated components Develop, validate, and implement an overall strategy to patch server environments including security updates on a regular schedule Assist the network security team in monitoring operating system security, apply strong security policies and intrusion detection setup Ensure that all changes to the environment adheres to established Change Management policies and procedures Maintain disaster recovery configurations for /Linux systems, perform periodic disaster recovery test for these platforms and maintain disaster recovery documentation and procedures in support of these systems. Perform file systems backup and test recovery plans using Symantec NetBackup Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot HA server environment run on Oracle Exadata Provide technical ssistance to pplication database dministrators nd system administrators for configuration and integration of database and application components Evaluate new systems and applications requirements regarding the compatibility and performance related to the operating system environment Setup and monitor the scheduled batch jobs Setup and monitor system alerts to provide 24x7 support and high availability Liaise with Oracle, and other vendors to troubleshoot technical issues Follow communications protocol for system failures/outages and file incident reports Escalate major hardware/software problems to senior IT staff Respond to Service Desk tickets for technical support ensuring timely follow up and resolution Prepare system configurations and management/support documentation and provide training and knowledge transfer to other team members as needed Maintain inventory of UNIX/Linux hardware and software assets Available to work after hours and weekends as needed Qualifications Preferably 6-8 years' experience as an Oracle Linux system administrator managing a large scale of UNIX environment Working knowledge to install, configure & troubleshoot: Linux\Unix operating systems LDOMS, zfs file systems, and zones on prem and different cloud services environments

Experience in Shell scripting Experience in supporting and troubleshooting networking services and protocols to support Linux\Unix environment i.e. TCP/IP, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, SFTP, HTTP, NIS, DNS, NFS, LDAP, SSH, Sendmail, etc. Working knowledge of configuring and managing Oracle virtual technology: LDOMS, Zones/containers Experience in supporting Oracle Applications Server, WebLogic, and Oracle RDBMS in/Linux operating systems Experience in configuring and managing Oracle Storage Area Network (SAN), Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM), and Oracle Cluster File System (OCFS) Experience in Symantec NetBackup and VEEAM for file systems backup and recovery plans Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for recognizing and resolving technical (hardware, software, application) problems Strong interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and perform in a high-paced/high-pressure environment Ability to work independently or within a group to solve complex problems. Ability to communicate with different levels of the organization Strong team player with service-oriented attitude and customer focus

10/1/2025 - 9/30/2026 Normal Business Days/Hours: Monday - Friday (9:00am - 5:00pm includes one-hour unpaid lunch) - 35 hours work week.
