As a Mechanical Assembler, you will perform assembly operations on components and subassemblies, including installation, rework, soldering, and using hand tools. Tasks include handling and measuring inert and energetic materials with balances, calipers, and presses, as well as assisting with equipment setup. Work is completed under direct supervision while following detailed instructions, with participation in on-the-job training and occasional offsite certification courses. All activities must adhere to strict safety protocols in explosive handling areas, with other duties assigned as needed.
These Mechanical Assembler jobs require a High School Diploma or GED, along with at least 1 year of hands-on assembly or manufacturing experience preferred. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to perform essential duties of the position., and demonstrate strong attention to detail with reliable attendance. The role requires proficient dexterity and experience using hand tools, including accurate use of calipers and preferred soldering skills. Applicants must be comfortable working in explosive handling areas and high-precision environments while adhering to strict safety guidelines. The position also involves working around loud and sudden noises and lifting up to 50 lbs.
