SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS ENGINEER- DRIVER DEVELOPMENT

Position Overview:
Extron's Software Applications Engineers focus on supporting Extron's Control System hardware and software solutions. Software Applications Engineers develop code for device drivers for Extron control systems in audiovisual applications.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support Development of Extron Device Drivers. Development of control system device drivers for all supported Extron Control System platforms. Support hands on testing and certification of Extron Device Drivers. Provide technical support for customers and internal staff working with Extron Device Drivers. Extron Control System and device driver testing and debugging. Communication with necessary parties in instances where additional technical detail is required to develop or troubleshoot an Extron Device Driver. Facilitate scrum and sprint initiatives for driver development. Required Qualifications:
BSEE / BSCE Degree- New graduates welcome! Experience programming in Python or another object-oriented language. Experience working with IT and computer networking is a plus. Experience working in an agile software development environment is a plus. Excellent communication and presentation skills, (written and verbal). Strong attention to detail, highly organized, computer literate. Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment.
Salary Range: $70,000 to $72,000. Pay may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
