HGA is seeking a skilled
Instrumentation Engineer
to join our team in The Woodlands, TX. This direct-hire role involves collaborating with project leads to manage department resources and external partners, ensuring accuracy and consistency across deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead detailed design efforts including Capital Cost Estimates, Network Diagrams, P&IDs, Instrument and I/O Lists, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Conduit & Cable Schedules, Instrument Location Plans, Control Panel Layouts, Loop Sheets, and Junction Box Wiring.
Prepare calculations and specifications for installing instrumentation and control systems, including conduit and cable tray sizing.
Specify instrumentation and controls such as transmitters, analyzers, valves, sensors, and emergency systems.
Coordinate work assignments with department leads and managers.
Participate in internal planning meetings and client design reviews, which may involve travel.
Maintain project schedules, manpower updates, and timely reporting for multiple simultaneous projects. Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
10+ years of experience in Instrumentation and Controls, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
Strong knowledge of engineering design principles, codes, and standards.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
Must reside within commuting distance of The Woodlands, TX.
