Role Overview
As a Construction Manager, you’ll lead projects from pre-construction to closeout, managing field operations, financial performance, and team leadership with a focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
Oversee complete project lifecycle—from planning and mobilization to commissioning.
Ensure strict adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality benchmarks.
Field Operations & Site Leadership
Conduct daily job site visits, addressing challenges and ensuring quality and safety standards.
Team & Culture Development
Lead and mentor staff—Project Managers, Engineers, Field Supervisors, and subcontractors.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and evaluations to foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
Financial Responsibility
Hold P&L responsibility for multiple MEP projects.
Coordinate budgeting, cost management, forecasting, billing, change orders, and vendor payments.
Safety & Compliance
Champion a safety-first mindset across all sites in line with OSHA and company protocols.
Lead safety meetings and ensure all regulatory and client requirements are met.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Serve as primary liaison with clients, Estimators, Sales, Vendors, and Department Heads.
Participate in bids, inspections, and progress evaluations for seamless project delivery.
Quality & Risk Management
Uphold strict quality control and compliance with specifications, codes, and industry best practices.
Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain detailed documentation—schedules, RFIs, submittals, daily logs, and progress reports.
Report on project status to internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in construction/project management within HVAC/Mechanical/MEP.
Technical Fluency:
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
Industry Insight:
Strong grasp of mechanical systems, building products, code compliance, and construction practices.
Leadership Track Record:
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors.
Location:
Based in or willing to relocate to Corpus Christi, TX (relocation assistance considered).
