companionship and support
to fellow veterans during their most vulnerable time. Your shared bond and love of country can bring incredible comfort and dignity in the final chapter of life. What We Ask of You: 6 hours per month
commitment Complete onboarding requirements (just like staff):
Background Check TB Gold Blood Test Drug Screening Valid State-Issued ID Driver’s License & Auto Insurance (if you plan to drive)
12 hours of education per year Why It Matters: Hospice is not just about medical care—it's about

face-to-face time
with patients—wherever they call home: a private residence, facility, or boarding home. While you will
not
assist with physical care (feeding, bathing, toileting, walking, or moving patients), your presence and kindness offer powerful comfort. Patients enjoy: Simple conversation and friendly visits Reading together Playing cards or listening to music Quiet companionship Veteran Volunteers Needed We especially need veterans to support fellow service members through companionship and shared experience. Your presence means
dignity, understanding, and honor
in their final season of life. Requirements for All Volunteers: Background check TB Gold blood test Drug screening Valid state-issued ID Driver’s license & auto insurance (if driving) Commitment to 6 hours/month 12 hours of education annually
