Strategic ACI is seeking a GIS Application & Database Developer to provide on-site support in designated Government workspaces primarily in the Washington, DC metropolitan and surrounding areas. Staff in this category work independently to develop GIS tools and applications, perform complex analyses, and develop multi- layered maps accomplished by using an appropriate combination of tools found in the GIS application suite and other programming environments.
Responsibilities :
Leads application development team. Works with other members of a program team (i.e. infrastructure, security, etc.) to ensure applications meet Client IT requirements. Design and implement data conversion procedures and perform software and database quality control. Work closely with the GIS user community to determine specific application requirements and specifications. Perform project planning, requirements analysis, database design and development, and quality assurance and quality control. Qualifications:
Required :
Active Secret Clearance. Mid-level: 6 years of experience in GIS and related development. Senior-level: at least 10 years of experience in GIS and related development. Experience in GIS concepts, computer graphics fundamentals, and relational database fundamentals and concepts is essential. Experience in the development of complex analysis and mapping projects. Proficient in the coding of software and manipulating digital databases as well as using GIS programming languages, Internet markup languages, and other, pertinent technologies. The ability to communicate technical information to non-technical computer users, both orally and in writing.
