Controls Project Manager
to engage in Building Automation System (BAS) projects; including meeting project specifications, timelines, and budgets; optimizing the Control Group's effectiveness and efficiencies on BAS projects through the coordination of labor and material; and maintaining/maximizing profitability with high customer satisfaction. This is an
in-office/in-field position
that reports to the SIG Controls Manager and is located in
Raleigh, NC.

What You'll Do (Essential Duties)
Coordinate project resources: Plan for, and allocation of BAS resources. Hold kick-off meetings with Project Team. Make site visits with technicians to ensure quality jobs and provide technical assistance. Work with BAS resources in the field to insure assigned tasks are completed successfully. Oversee and coordinate electrical and other subcontractors to ensure proper project completion. Coordinate commissioning activities for each project as required. Project activities and coordination
Review design and project specifications/requirements. Create submittal documents for BAS projects. Attend project meetings. Procure required BAS project material. Coordinate activities with other trades. Ensure the project is completed on time and in budget. Maintain effective communications:
Communicate the scope of work required for each project with BAS technicians and subcontractors. Communicate with Project Team to identify problems and issues and work to resolve these issues to meet customer and project requirements. Communicate with our customers to promote brand recognition and maintain customer satisfaction. Maintain proactive communications with all customers. Maintain efficient reporting and documentation procedures:
Generate and review documentation to meet BAS project requirements. Maintain all job files and reports/documentation to track BAS project cost. Monitor job progress for billing purposes. Use an accounting system to verify job costs, monitor profitability and adjust estimated labor, etc. Review and approve time sheets. Attend Health & Safety meetings. Review project schedule and work duty with BAS Technicians. Provide project updates to System Integration Manager. What We're Looking For (Personal Qualities & Expectations)
Manage workload by prioritizing, planning, and seeking assistance when needed. Work in a focused, results-oriented manner. Ensure accuracy and attention to detail as part of all normal work practices. Continually look for ways to improve, replace, or eliminate work processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Work in a cooperative and supportive fashion with all clients, internal and external, to foster positive perceptions of the service team. Be flexible in dealing with changing work demands and priorities. What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)
Bachelor of Science Degree or Associates Degree Diploma from a two-year community college or technical school or 5-7 years of equivalent experience in BAS controls systems. Preference would be given to individuals with courses in electronics, computer programming, or mechanical technology. Minimum
5 years
of experience working as a Controls Project Manager Valid driver's license. PMP certification Proficient knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment; understanding of building management system controls, including common communication protocols, and hardware.
