Summary: The
Child Life Specialist
will work at our Prosper Medical Center providing essential life experiences, family support and education to patients and families throughout their healthcare journey. The child life specialist works closely with a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals, as well as with community members, to promote growth and development and facilitate positive adjustment for patients and families throughout the health care experience. Required Education/Qualifications: Bachelor's (or) Master's Degree in Child Life, Child Development, or a closely related field.
Completion of a child life internship supervised by a certified CLS.
Certified Child Life Specialist (or eligible) within one year of hire.
American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS is required within 60 days of hire.
$5000 sign-on bonus for qualified external applicants only.
