JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS :

The Program Manager will be responsible to direct and oversee assigned Recovery Community Center(s). Program Manager will oversee and assist with facilitating recovery groups, making service provider referrals and contacts (vocational, educational, life skills, physical & behavioral health), creating a comfortable sober "hang out" with amenities (wi-fi, available food service, and refreshments), and related activities. Program manager will be responsible for hiring and evaluating Peer Support Specialist who will also provide groups and referrals to those that visit the RCC. Program Manager will ensure that services are led in a trauma informed way.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE FOR THIS ROLE:

The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, Master's preferred. It requires a reasonable combination of the following knowledge and skills; work with mental illness and addiction, use of motivational interviewing and/or other harm reduction approaches, use of community resources and ability to serve as an appropriate role model. Compassion towards people living with behavioral health and substance use issues, and Hepatitis C and HIV/AIDS. Ability to convey respect to the target populations are critical. Must learn and apply agency, personnel and program policies and procedures. Minimum of 1 year of sobriety.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. To direct, oversee and provide outreach for VOA's Recovery Community Center (RCC)

2. Provide services daily to individuals/clients who are present at the RCC

3. Lead recovery groups and identify other individuals to provide support to participants of RCC

4. Provide referrals to participants as appropriate

5. Assess clients for use of support services funds

6. Work effectively with referral sources and community partners.

7. To provide oversight, training, and guidance to peer support specialists

8. To provide crisis counseling on personal, financial, employment, behavioral, crisis and substance abuse matters for residents.

9. Conducts comprehensive assessments, and reassessments, to determine the need for housing, medical, social, educational, and other identified services

10. Identify community resources and develop cooperative relationships with other social service providers.

11. Represent agency programs, policies and procedures accurately in the community and with other social service agencies.

12. Advise other staff on treatment matters and coordinate team treatment as appropriate.

13. To maintain statistical data on all residents on caseload through reporting.

14. To review service plans with staff and update files in accordance with CRR.

15. To monitor and enforce compliance of residents within programs as assigned.

16. To complete initial intakes as assigned.

17. To complete discharge planning as assigned.

18. Assist with special projects such as Quality Assurance and to assist with ensuring compliance with COA standards and CRR requirements.

19. Assist with documentation control on therapy files as assigned.

20. Participate in regular client review.

21. Provide case management services that are targeted on the identified needs of the individual

22. Performance quality improvement (PQI) duties as assigned by supervision & PQI committee.

23. Other duties assigned.
