The Assembler is responsible for building/assembling parts and creating finished cabinets according to design specifications and assembly instructions. This position may assemble cabinets, drawers, hardware, labels, or packaging.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assemble product per assembly instructions. • May work in various positions in the assembly process and on multiple product lines. • May operate various equipment, including pressure compressors of up to 145 psi (pounds per square inch), power assist lifts, hand tools, and other equipment. • Perform quality checks on parts and products to verify that part/product standards and specifications are met. • Maintains a clean and organized work area. • Cross-trains in all production areas and maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems in the work area. • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS: • One year of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. • Knowledge of assembly operations best practices. • Ability to understand and follow verbal or written instructions to complete assignments. • Ability to understand and follow any safety requirements and cautions • Ability to use hand tools and perform the physical labor necessary.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Frequently required to walk. • Occasionally required to sit. • Occasionally required to bend. • Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.
