Solution Engineer (Network Engineer)

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with a strong focus on AWS Networking to join our team as a contractor. The ideal candidate will have 2 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing network solutions in cloud environments, particularly AWS. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and collaboratively to ensure the reliability and performance of our network infrastructure.
Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage AWS networking solutions, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, and security groups. Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of services. Collaborate with cross functional teams to define network requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Conduct network assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network related issues. Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to networking and cloud services. Mandatory Skills:
Strong knowledge of AWS Networking services, including but not limited to VPC, Direct Connect, Route 53, and CloudFront. Experience with network design and architecture in cloud environments. Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.) and security best practices. Hands on experience with network monitoring and management tools. Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues effectively. Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for network management. Experience with hybrid cloud networking solutions. Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations related to networking. Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Advanced Networking. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 2 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on AWS Networking. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
